Stanford University Autism Microbiome Study
The Wall Lab at Stanford University announces the launch of their Microbiome Study. This is a crowdsourced initiative that will look into the impact of the gut microbiome on autistic youth. They are collecting a range of data to develop a wholesome understanding of this link, including questionnaires, home videos, stool swab and saliva samples. Participation is done from the privacy and security of the participant’s home (online and by mail). Ideally, the Lab is seeking families with at least 2 children, where one sibling has a clinical diagnosis of autism and is 6 years or younger and the other sibling does not have a clinical diagnosis of autism.
